Where did it all start? A brief history!
Sock-like knitted items have been found in Egyptian graves dating as far back as 500AD and according to the Greek poet Hesiod, the ancient Greeks wore socks called 'piloi', made from matted animal fur. The early 1900s saw the growth of sports such as Football & Basketball, as we know them today, and with those sports came the rise of the sport sock.
The 1950s saw the introduction of synthetic fibres to the sport sock transforming them to the comfortable, stylish, wardrobe staple we know today.
